ABOUT

Colleen alone.jpeg

This foundation was formed by family and friends after the passing of Colleen Sorbello in 2017.  While she was fighting breast cancer for 4 years she participated in many trials and was passionate about finding a way to make the treatment less harsh for the women fighting breast cancer.   It was important to her family and friends to continue Colleen's fight and so the Pink Clover Foundation was born.

Pink Clover’s mission is to provide research, education and comfort for women who are struggling while battling breast cancer.

"...when I see you all wearing pink, it's a promise to me, that there's a cure" - Colleen Sorbello.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Research

Educate

Our fundraising efforts have enabled Pink Clover to assist the Colleen Sorbello Research Laboratory at the University of New Haven. In 2021, the laboratory had recent discoveries published that may shed light on a possible link between breast cancer and lyme disease.

In addition, Pink Clover has raised and continues to raise money in support of the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia for prevention trials that focus on breast cancer recurrence.

Our Lecture Series is our community outreach program that connects us with residents of the South Jersey area. The various seminars cover breast cancer related topics, including information about detection, treatment, support programs, guidance on insurance assistance, and much more. The seminars are informal and free to the public. Our keynote speakers are medical professionals provided by our partners from Inspira Health Network and AtlantiCare

Comfort

Along with providing financial grants to our recipients, we continually offer moral, spiritual, and social support. Also, with the help of our hospital partners like Penn Medicine, Inspira Health Network, and AtlantiCare, we donate bags of goodies to women while they are receiving their treatment, while providing financial help with life’s essential expenses.
