Research is an important part of our mission.
We have partnered with two world class organizations with a focus on breast cancer.

The University of New Haven (Home to the Colleen Sorbello Research Lab) whose focus is on prevention dedicating efforts as to causes.

The University of Pennsylvania  dedicated research focus on recurrence so that breast cancer can be eradicated.

MARCH 2022

As promised, I am excited to share with you the attached progress report for the 2-PREVENT Translational Center of Excellence (TCE), which details the incredible advances made over the past year thanks to your generous support. I hope you can share this with the Pink Clover Board as well.

More than ever before the eyes of the world are focused on the healthcare industry and ensuring access and equity to treatment and screening. This year, we challenged ourselves to expand and transform the TCE in new ways to meet the needs of more patients, and we are excited to share the attached updates with you.

We also want to take this time to celebrate the progress made over the past nine years, as we look forward to the 10th anniversary of the 2-PREVENT TCE in 2023. As we reflect on this upcoming milestone and all that we have accomplished, know that we are already setting our goals for the next ten years.

The TCE is more than a center, it has become a community. The breakthroughs and discoveries we have made are the direct result of supporters, our patients and advocates, our researchers, and our clinicians. As the treatment landscape has changed, we have expanded our scope to include new technologies, new treatment options like immunotherapy, new clinical trials, and much more. Eradicating breast cancer will not happen in a silo; it will happen through teamwork and collaboration. We are so moved by your commitment to helping us leverage the decades of work we have done so far to create a future free from this disease.

On behalf of the Penn Medicine team and Drs. Angie DeMichele and Lewis Chodosh in particular, thank you!
